Nice job on the clouds, and the soft out-of-focus background adds a lot of depth!
The flares on the belt buckle, and the shading on his belt in general, is perfect.
One of the earlier commenters mentioned the washed-out highlights.
Personally I think that it suits the vampiric nature of the character.
If you do ever want to get good high-saturation highlights on a piece, though,
and you are using either Gimp or Photoshop, you can use a low-opacity layer(30%-60% is usually a good range) set to a layermode called "vivid light" in photoshop or "grain merge" in Gimp that you put on top of your color layer.
and paint the highlights into this layer in a very light shade of the color you want your highlights to be.
The two modes work a bit differently from one another, but both can be used to get the same end result: bright, high saturation highlights.
I was recently taught this trick by *RickGriffin and it makes for some cool effects!
Thank you so much, tho tbh I was having a hard time drawing the cacti with detail and having them look good D: so I just said hey what the hell, figured it may giv the pic it's own "special" look
Yeah, oftentimes I tend to miss things that are more obvious to others, hehe and ya now I see the issue here. Thanks a mil for the light-tip btw, it's so much appreciated!!! ^__^ I use Photoshop and yeah, as I am kinda 'guessing' my way through it there's so much stuff I don't know (that def being one of them!!) I just went back to the piece anyhow and played around w/the 'vivid light' setting exactly and tried to give him a faint yellow 'glow,' gonna prolly work on it some more this weekend, figure it all out, so thank you so much once again!!! ^__^
It looks reall really cool! great work on it
